About the Wyoming State Society |

Founded in 1977, the Wyoming State Society's (WSS) mission is to celebrate the history, culture, social traditions, and philanthropic ideals of the people of Wyoming. The organization serves both as a refuge for Wyomingites in Washington, D.C., who are far from home, and as an embassy of those who represent the ideals, traditions and lifestyles of the Equality State to the East Coast.
Due to the political, military and academic crossroads here, the DC area has an above-average population of Wyomingites, which is reflected in the size of the Wyoming State Society. Membership is limited to folks who are from, or have ties to, Wyoming. This allows us to stay connected to our Equality State roots. As you will find, this website contains a wealth of information on upcoming events, links to related Wyoming sites, and an application for membership in the Wyoming State Society.
