UW vs. Georgia Road Trip

On September 19, 1998 the University of Wyoming Cowboys went down South to play "Between the Hedges," against the No. 12 ranked Georgia Bulldogs.  It was the only Cowboy game East of the mighty Mississippi and die-hard Pokes fans from the Wyoming State Society were in the stands.

Ten Wyoming State Society-ers took a road trip down past the Mason-Dixon line to wear our Brown and Gold in Bulldog territory.  Wyoming was an 18 point underdog heading into the game, but we were up for the rooting challenge.

Once they settled into the game, the Cowboys played on even terms with Georgia, shutting the Bulldogs out in the second half.   Although they lost the game 16-9, the Cowboys proved they could hold their own.

Wyoming State Society members will saddle up for a road trip to the 1999 season's game in Tennessee.
